Gary Yager
Gary provides leadership, direction and guidance of bank's activities to assure short and long-range profitability and planned growth of the bank. Gary obtained a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Washburn University. Gary has graduated from various banking schools and courses conducted by the Kansas and American Bankers Associations. He currently has over 43 years of banking experience. Since May 2005, Mr. Yager has served as President and CEO of BOTS and VisionBank. September 2002, Mr. Yager served as Vice Chairman and Director of Western National Bank, Overland Park, Kansas, and managed that bank's two branches in Topeka, Kansas. From 1996 until September 2002, Mr. Yager served as Director, Executive Vice President, Branch President and Senior Lending Officer for Columbian Bank & Trust, Kansas. From 1986 until 1995, Mr. Yager served as Vice President Commercial Loans for Commerce Bank & Trust in Topeka, Kansas. From 1976 until 1986, Mr. Yager served as Assistant Vice President for First National Bank in Topeka, Kansas.

Mr. Yager has been a resident of Topeka, Kansas area for approximately 48 years, during which time he has been actively involved in numerous civic, professional, and community organizations as a member, officer, director, and volunteer. Gary is currently serving as the Chair of the Delta Dental of Kansas board of directors. Previously, he served as the Chair of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Yager is an active member of the American Bankers Association Governmental Relations Committee. Gary has great pride in the work VisionBank does and says that, hands down, the best part of his position is getting to interact with VisionBank employees and customers every day. In his free time, Gary enjoys traveling and spending time outside golfing and hunting.
Tom Bals
Tom Bals
Tom brings over forty years of experience in financial services to VisionBank where he serves as Senior Vice President. He is actively involved in consumer and commercial lending as well as business development. Tom is a member of Christ the King Church. He attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska and has participated in numerous banking schools throughout his career. Tom has been a Topeka resident for over forty years where he has been active in many civic and business organizations.
Jana Proctor
Jana Proctor

Jana attended Kansas State University and Washburn University. She is a graduate of the Kansas Nebraska School of Banking and Compliance School. Jana has over 30 years of bank operations experience with 28 years in the Topeka area. She was a 1997 YWCA leadership honoree, has volunteered for Let's Help, KTWU, and the 501 Outreach Summer Lunch Program. She is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she has served as an Elder and Financial Secretary.

Paul Bischmann
As Vice President of Business Development, Paul provides expert relationship management and strategic guidance to current and potential clients looking to grow their businesses. By leveraging VisionBank's best practices along with his own extensive knowledge of business development, Paul helps his clients secure lending and financial support to bring their organization or individual goals to fruition. His 15 years in banking leadership has positioned him to help customers through all aspects of small business development. Paul is passionate about supporting the VisionBank family with a daily focus on mentoring and motivating team members towards achievement of their highest possible level of production and professional growth. 

Bischmann attended the University of Kansas from 1988 to 1992 majoring in Theatre & Film, and then went on to managing restaurants & bars for over a decade in downtown Lawrence, Kansas before transitioning to a highly successful career in banking. He has used his strengths in business development and entrepreneurship as a Community Organizer for One Million Cups as well as providing support on the Communities in Schools Mid-America Advisory Board.
Ian Gudenkauf
As Vice President of Mortgage, Ian Gudenkauf brings 25 years of lending experience to the VisionBank team. While studying marketing at Emporia State University, Ian began his career in banking as a loan processor. He enjoys the challenge of learning something new every day and this passion for learning has been the driving force behind his continued growth in the banking industry. After gaining experience as a processor, he moved into positions as an underwriter, a loan officer, and now as the Vice President of Mortgage. His experience allows him to assist his team in making quick and thoughtful decisions to positively influence the lives of our customers. Ian's responsiveness to customers sets the bar for customer service in our bank and it's those interactions that keep him engaged in his position every day. He truly enjoys the challenge of managing the mortgages of our customers and the relationships that come with this responsibility. Ian continues to grow his industry knowledge by connecting with professionals regularly, including attending events through the Sunflower Association of Realtors. When not working, you'll find Ian with his wife and two children enjoying time outside fishing and golfing.
Morgan Purvis
As a Commercial Loan Officer, Morgan Purvis has been a part of the VisionBank team since 2015. While studying Finance and Business Management at Washburn University, Morgan began work as a part-time Loan Processor. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Morgan transitioned to a full-time Loan Processor position and eventually onto Credit Analyst. Now, as a Commercial Loan Officer, Morgan is able to apply both her critical thinking skills and her love of people to help customers meet their financial goals. Her experience in multiple roles within our bank allows her work to feel seamless, passing on that fluidity to her customers throughout the lending process. Morgan understands the importance of connection to her community and enjoys membership in FORGE for Young Professionals in Topeka. When not working, Morgan spends her time creating memories with her daughter.
